We’re delighted that BKL consultant David Whiscombe has been shortlisted in this year’s Taxation Awards for his outstanding contribution to tax.
David is one of eight finalists in the Tolley’s Outstanding Contribution to Taxation in 2018/19 category. The finalists were chosen by the Taxation Awards judges from nominations received.
The shortlisting recognises David’s writing of our popular BrassTax commentaries – available on our website or by email, with many republished by Tax Journal – his authorship of tax manuals (including the forthcoming Partnership Taxation 2019/20) and his co-hosting of our free webinars for fellow tax professionals.
It also highlights David’s roles as tax mentor within BKL – supporting BKL’s leading team of tax consultants and fostering an interest in tax in the wider firm – as a representative of the firm in disputes with HMRC and as an expert witness.
Tolley compliments David on his ‘all round technical excellence and for demonstrating that individuals from smaller firms can be significant commentators in the tax debate’.
Voting in the Outstanding Contribution to Taxation in 2018/19 category is open to tax professionals here on the Taxation Awards website until 25 April. The finalist who receives the most votes will be announced as the winner on 16 May at the awards night.
