Throughout his career, Jake has developed his specialism in the property and construction sector. He advises residential and commercial clients alike on tax-efficient structuring to support their growth.
Jake also has a wealth of experience advising clients in the charity, not-for-profit and education sectors. His focus on audits for academies and schools, as part of the Landau Baker team, has enabled them to become leading UK providers of this service. As a member of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) auditors’ forum, Jake helps shape the sector’s bespoke auditing and accounting regulations.

Earlier in his career, he held positions as FD for companies in the property, sport, entertainment, retail and publishing industries. In these roles, he was responsible for installing internal and financial controls and successfully growing and selling businesses.
Jake became a director at Landau Baker in 2018 alongside Carly Pinkus, helping to build the team’s specialisms and expanding his wealth of experience across property, fintech and bridging finance. As the next stage in this growth, Landau Baker merged with BKL in 2023.
When he’s not spending time with his wife and two children, or managing the under 8 football team (living his football career vicariously!), Jake loves watching American football and tries to find the time to play golf. He can also be found clocking the miles on his Peloton.
