He built his expertise in a range of sectors including education, defence, manufacturing and professional services.

Duncan is a registered Data Protection Officer, GDPR Practitioner, ISO27001 lead auditor and ISO27011 lead implementor.
Innovating and educating
Duncan joined BKL in 2019, becoming our first CDO. He led the launch of Microsoft Teams as BKL’s phone system, completing it in early 2020 ahead of the first lockdown.
Applying his expertise in cybersecurity, Duncan has implemented an Information Security Management System aligned to ISO27001. He has developed IT consultancy as a client service for businesses of all sizes.
Duncan also shares his expertise as a member of DFK International’s IT Committee, and as a speaker at technology conferences, collaborating with IT specialists at fellow professional services firms.
