Insights, News

BKL is delighted to announce that Myfanwy Neville has won Accountancy Leader of the Year at the Women in Finance Awards.

Cheered on by a table of BKL colleagues and watched by a room full of finance professionals, Myfanwy was announced as the “clear winner” in her category at the awards ceremony on 29 June.

Myfanwy commented: “To receive this award from a shortlist of so many inspiring women is a real privilege. BKL has always empowered me to make a difference throughout my career at the firm, and I think the award is a testament to how progressive we are as a firm.  With such a talented team, this definitely won’t be the last time you see one of BKL on an awards stage!”

BKL’s managing partner Jeff Hartstone added: “We’ve always been proud of Myfanwy’s achievements. She’s progressed from trainee to partner at BKL; she’s set an example to the team; she’s continually made a difference to the culture and development of the firm. Myfanwy’s award is a well earned recognition of her dedication to the firm and its clients. We know she has many more great accomplishments ahead.”

Myfanwy has been with BKL for over 15 years. She is BKL’s head of property, with expertise covering tax, accounting, audit and commercial issues. Her other contributions to BKL include a continuing role on its executive committee, helping to develop its values and client care initiatives and presenting at whole-firm briefing sessions.

The Women in Finance Awards celebrated the individuals and organisations leading change, breaking down barriers and creating new possibilities for equal representation in the world of finance.

The Accountancy Leader of the Year award was open to accountants who have consistently met challenging objectives to ensure the highest quality of service. The judges were looking for examples of delivering financial growth during the past year, team leadership and superior management.
