Adviser for property companies, particularly family groups developing and investing in property; championing sustainable businesses

Myfanwy is adept at helping to identify and solve the complex problems facing commercial and residential property groups.

Taking a perceptive, thorough approach, Myfanwy builds strong relationships in the property industry and a range of other sectors. She blends a grasp of the details with an understanding of the bigger picture: for each client, she is dedicated to making a difference.

Myfanwy’s experience covers a variety of tax, accounting, audit advisory and commercial issues. She gives guidance to family groups with large property portfolios, overseas companies who own UK property and other property businesses.

Myfanwy also enjoys giving ESG (environmental, social and governance) guidance, helping companies to operate and grow with sustainability and good business at the forefront. Our Head of Sustainability, she has a Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership (CISL) qualification and is a member of the ICAEW Sustainability Committee.

Training, progression and awards

Myfanwy began her accountancy training at BKL after graduating.

In 2010 she became the first person at BKL to progress from trainee to partner, sharing her experiences as a contributor to the book How to Make Partner and Still Have a Life.

Myfanwy won Women in Finance’s Accountancy Leader of the Year award in 2017. She was also a judge at the UK Business Awards in 2019 and 2020.

Outside work, Myfanwy is a singer with award-winning a cappella chorus Amersham A Cappella – proving that you never can take Wales out of the girl.
