Donating BKL laptops to Change Please

We were pleased to donate laptops to homelessness charity Change Please this year.

Change Please help people experiencing homelessness by training and employing them as baristas, providing them with additional support and then helping them into onward employment. It raises money by selling award-winning coffee.

The IT equipment we contributed is being used by Change Please trainees to make job applications and to receive data entry training in support of their career goals.

Change Please kindly sent us the above photo of two of the laptops in use at their training academy.

On the right is Yakub: a current trainee barista who, because of his accountancy background, is also being trained on Xero (the cloud-based accounting software we use ourselves).

Patricia, on the right, has joined Change Please as a full-time finance assistant following her barista training. As well as teaching current Change Please trainees like Yakub, Patricia is studying to be an accountant.

We’re proud that upgrading our technology gave us an opportunity to donate older equipment to such a good cause and to support ambitious young people, including a future accountant or two!

If you’d like your cup of coffee to make a difference, buy it from Change Please.
