Right-to-buy extension to go ahead

Insights, Property, Publications

‘Several papers report that plans to expand the Conservatives’ right-to-buy scheme by including England’s 1.3m housing association tenants will go ahead despite criticism. The government has announced that the proposals will be contained in tomorrow’s Queen’s speech. The housing bill will also include the manifesto pledge to build 200,000 starter homes, which will be available at a 20% discount to first-time buyers under 40 years old.’
