Stamp Duty Affecting £2m+ Home Sales

‘Estate agents have said that owners of homes valued at just under £2m are putting off home improvements to try to circumvent higher stamp duty.

The Times notes that a year after the Government introduced the 7% rate on top-end homes, agents are reporting that house sales above £2m have “fallen off a cliff”.’
