Chartered accountants and specialist advisers BKL are pleased to announce the expansion of their farms and estates team with the appointment of new senior tax adviser Elfed Evans-Jones.
Elfed specialises in providing capital taxes advice to landowners and family businesses in the rural sector. He supports farming families with estate planning, succession planning and the resolution of family disputes, and has a particular interest in planning for business reorganisations and sales of land for development.
Elfed has advised a wide range of clients at a varied selection of organisations. These include a Big Four firm in Cambridge, a boutique firm in London and a Top Ten firm in Northamptonshire. Elfed is based at BKL’s Cambridge office.
Elfed said, “I am excited to have joined a fast-growing and ambitious firm which regards providing premium quality tax advice to private clients, landowners and rural businesses as one of its main priorities. I had long been aware of BKL’s prominent presence in the world of taxation and I am proud to be joining such a talented team.”
Richard Crane, head of BKL’s farms and estates team, said, “Farmers and estate owners are currently in great need of advice on their tax affairs. Elfed is highly experienced in the rural business sector and the ideal addition to our team.
“We are delighted to have given Elfed the opportunity to continue providing clients with quality tax advice and to play a full part in BKL’s continuing growth and success.”
