Experienced and approachable tax adviser on trusts and succession

Terry’s expertise encompasses inheritance tax (IHT), wills and probate work. He’s also an expert in the legal, administrative and tax issues arising from trusts, both UK and overseas, and their uses in tax planning.

Terry started in tax in 1972, developing his skills in the Capital Taxes Office of the former Inland Revenue.

He left in 1988 to join the capital and estate planning division of a substantial City firm. He has been with BKL since 1996.

Terry is a long-standing member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is vice chair of its City of London branch. He can often be found sharing his insights with fellow professionals via the readers’ forum of Taxation magazine.
