Jon is an expert at finding straightforward solutions to the complex needs of financial services clients. His expert guidance helps businesses develop their strategies at all different stages of their life cycles, including those with a focus on cryptocurrency and those using blockchain technology.
As well as supporting clients both strategically and pragmatically, Jon enjoys building relationships with the people behind the businesses. He tells his clients that they can “ask me anything”.
Jon specialises in working with hedge fund managers, brokers, payment service providers, asset managers, traders and fintech companies. His advice includes:
- Statutory audits involving FCA regulations
- Structuring businesses to ensure compliance with FCA requirements and tax efficiency, including startups and offshore companies
- Consolidated group accounts and large group audits
- Tax planning, deal structuring and accounting for large complicated transactions
- Restructuring advice for mitigating risk and providing better control
Jon began his accountancy training after leaving school, as BKL’s first non-graduate trainee. In 2014 he became our youngest partner.
The following year, he was featured in Accountancy Age’s 35 Under 35 list. Jon was featured in the 35 Under 35 again in 2019, ranked at number 3.
Jon often holidays in Italy with his family. They’ve also explored further afield to South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Cambodia, Thailand and Mauritius.
