News

Chartered accountants and advisers BKL have completed the sale of Supremia International to Gemaco Group. This follows the successful completion by BKL’s corporate finance team of the sale of NotSoSecure to Claranet.

Supremia International is headquartered in Hertfordshire with offices in North America, Russia and the Far East. It services clients in over 32 countries and creates successful promotions for some of the world’s largest international companies.

Gemaco Group, based in Belgium with offices in 15 countries, is a leading provider of full-service merchandising and promotional marketing solutions for global industry and fast-moving consumer goods customers. It is backed by capiton, a German financial investor.

The merger will form a global leader within the promotional products industry. The consolidated group will have turnover of nearly $200 million and over 400 employees located across all major continents.

BKL was appointed by Sedat Kahya, the founder of Supremia, to negotiate and advise on all financial and commercial aspects of the transaction.

Daniel Shear, corporate finance partner at BKL, said: “We have enjoyed working with Sedat and his team over the last year and share their delight at the completion of this deal. It was complicated by a number of factors, and was at risk at times, but we used our experience to help ensure that the deal ultimately completed to the satisfaction of both parties. It opens up an exciting new future for Supremia whilst allowing Sedat to enjoy the fruits of his labours.”

Sedat Kahya of Supremia commented: “BKL acted with true professionalism throughout the process and helped the shareholders of Supremia achieve their targets, based on sound commercial advice. It was a pleasure working with BKL and we would like to thank Daniel, Jeff and their team for their invaluable assistance.”
