BKL Partner becomes member of the Academy of Experts

Insights, News

Academy of ExpertsThe Academy of Experts, a professional body dedicated to providing cost efficient dispute resolutions, has recently recognised BKL Partner, Daniel Shear, for his Expert Witness Valuation work.

This is an exciting accolade for Daniel, who has been a BKL partner for ten years. The Academy of Experts (TAE) was set up in 1987 and is a professional body for experts to establish and promote high objective standards. With around 1350 Experts, the TAE are selective about who is accepted into the Academy to ensure their standards of excellence are maintained so Daniel’s membership is well-earned.

TTo have his membership accepted means Daniel is officially acknowledged as an Expert in his field and BKL are delighted that Daniel’s skills, in use every day at the firm, are now recognised by an external professional body. The selection process involves a rigorous vetting process and entrants have to provide evidence of a wide range of professional and practical experience.

For some time, the Academy encouraged Daniel to apply for membership, so he finally decided to take the leap and submit his application form. Daniel was keen to become recognised as an Expert and is delighted by the news, explaining, “I am pleased to be recognised as an expert in the field of private company share valuations, having provided expert witness reports and testimony in a large number of cases. This demonstrates the increasing esteem BKL Litigation Support holds within the legal profession.”

Chairman of The Academy of Experts, Chris McArdle, commented, “It is my pleasure to welcome Daniel to membership. I’d like to congratulate him on getting through our vetting process and welcome him to the world’s premier organisation for experts and dispute resolvers. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish Daniel happy and prosperous involvement with the Academy.”
