On 8-9 November, BKL’s farms and estates team will be at the Farm Business Innovation Show at NEC Birmingham.
The Farm Business Innovation Show is a leading event for innovative and diversifying landowners, farmers, and rural entrepreneurs. It’ll be our first time at the show and we’re looking forward to it.
As well as our exhibitor stand (number 290), Richard Crane will be leading a seminar on the first morning:
Preparing for the future of farming and land ownership
Wednesday 8 November, 11:00-11:30, Theatre 4
With influences such as Brexit, the agricultural scene is changing. Our seminar will review the likely market changes and how you might prepare your business in the light of these changes.
We’ll be focusing on capital tax planning for commercial activities. With the help of real case studies, we’ll cover: the possible impacts of unsupported agriculture; diversification; scale and alternative farming arrangements.
Richard will be joined on the Wednesday by Elfed Evans-Jones, who has recently joined the BKL farms and estates team as a highly experienced tax adviser. On the Thursday, Sam Parish and Lindsay House of our team will be there. Sam is a manager at our Cambridge office; Lindsay is our Director of Trusts.
Tickets for the show are free. If you’re thinking of attending, we’d be delighted to see you there. With hundreds of other exhibitors and speakers from across the sector, it’s a great opportunity for you to talk directly to those involved in a whole range of diversifications and also attend one of more of the many seminars taking place over the two days – there are some very interesting speakers.
Here’s the Farm Business Innovation Show website, where you can register for your free ticket. If you’d like to know more, you’re welcome to get in touch with us too.
