The SECR is mandatory for any MATs or schools that meet two or more of these criteria:
- 250 employees or more
- Turnover (or gross income) £36m or more
- Balance sheet assets of £18m or more
Many individual schools and smaller MATs are now choosing to record their energy and carbon emissions. It offers an ideal starting point on their drive to reduce energy consumption and decarbonise their estate.
We offer a basic package that includes completion of the SECR and optional strategy time where we’ll explore progressive options for the MAT with you. These might include:
- An interaction with staff and pupils to initiate energy and cost-saving measures in schools
- Deciding on a timeline for improvements
