Atul is a partner in BKL’s Accounts & Business Services team, bringing four decades of experience to entrepreneurs, owner-managers and their businesses.
He advises clients across property & construction, retail, technology and professional services. With a strong grounding in tax, he joins up corporate tax, VAT and tax-efficient planning so clients see the bigger picture rather than tackling issues in isolation.
Clients value Atul’s ability to cut through complexity and find a clear way forward. As a former partner of RBS Accountants, which joined BKL in 2026, he also knows first-hand what it takes to build and grow a business.
Most of his career has been in practice, but he has also worked in industry – so he understands what it’s like to receive advice as well as give it. That shapes his approach: practical, grounded and focused on what works day to day. More recently, he has become a trusted adviser to new clients caught under HMRC’s Spotlight 63, guiding them through the investigation process with confidence.
Outside work, you’ll usually find Atul behind a camera, travelling, cooking or enjoying a good glass of wine. He’s also recently taken up pickleball and quickly discovered it’s a lot harder than it looks!
