Marines’ audit journey started in Cape Town, South Africa in 2017 after finishing his studies at the University of Stellenbosch.
He’s experienced in a wide variety of industries and specialises in:
- Property groups
- Manufacturing
- Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)
- Agriculture
Marines joined BKL’s assurance team as an audit senior manager in 2023. With his unfortunate habit of ending up in the middle of complex accounting and audit problems, Marines has gained sufficient experience in solving his clients’ requests and problems.
After realising that rugby would not be his career, Marines took on cycling, running, swimming, and all three during triathlon events when feeling brave. In 2023 he welcomed his son Philip into his family and can’t wait to teach him how to pass and kick a rugby ball.
