Bike ride

Publications

One of our team members, Doug Sinclair, recently participated in a charity cycle ride from Aachen in Germany to Beckenham in Kent.

The total ride was in excess of 300 miles and whilst regrettably Doug was unable to do all 300 miles – due to a dodgy left knee from an old rugby injury, the team made it back safe and sound with only a few grazes and nettle stings to show that some had not kept to the two wheels. The adventure was something that everybody who took part will never forget.

The challenge was focussed on the bond of friendship that the participants had with their late friend, Pete Nertney and to raise money for research into the Leukaemia he battled against and the Lymphoma that finally brought his battle to an end.

Doug was really pleased to report that the £10K target was well and truly smashed, as they were already up to £22.5k when they returned to the UK and hope to get to a final figure of £25k for the nominated charity – Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (LLR).
