We have several empty desks today, but with good reason. An intrepid team from BKL has taken up the charity challenge.
We’d been looking for a way to support our chosen charities, Magpas Air Ambulance and Homeless Action in Barnet, and test ourselves at the same time. With the help of Charity Challenge – they’re based near our London office and the name seemed to fit – we chose the Oxfordshire Triple Challenge.
Oxfordshire is a clue to where it’s happening. But why Triple? Because it involves:
- Biking – 25km over the rolling hills… so we’ll keep on rolling
- Kayaking – us versus the Thames for 1.2km
- Long walk – 15km along the Ridgeway National Trail, in the boldest trek not to involve a starship Enterprise
Something about the initials makes us feel this challenge was made for us.
From those of us staying in today, all the best to our squad of fundraisers. We know you’ll make a difference.
Update: find out how the team got on with the charity challenge.
