‘As a first year undergraduate student studying Accounting and Finance, I had the fantastic opportunity to spend three weeks working at BKL, shadowing predominantly in the Audit and Accounts Department. Having done work experience previously at BKL, I expected to learn a broad range of vocational skills and to build personal long-term career ambitions.
During my placement, I had the opportunity to gain real hands-on experience, doing analytical work for a range of different companies, and to shadow in the Tax Compliance Department. The staff were always extremely supportive and keen to help – from the Partners to the junior auditors – and quickly made me feel part of the department.
The placement programme at BKL is invaluable and, without a doubt, I would recommend it to anyone interested in entering the accounting field.’
