Taking place in Cannes on 14-17 March, MIPIM provides a marketplace for international and domestic investors, developers, occupiers and property professionals to build connections and do business. It includes conferences, exhibitions and networking events.

Jason Appel is BKL’s Head of Property and Construction. He has worked at BKL for nearly 20 years. His property expertise covers small and large deals in investment, development, residential, commercial and student accommodation.
Jason’s advice includes efficient structures for tax planning and risk, the Construction Industry Scheme and the importance of getting good advice upfront with any property deal.
Myfanwy Neville is another of our business advisory and tax partners. She joined the firm in 2001 and has been a partner for 12 years. Her specialisms in the property sector include investment and development for large family groups, unusual projects and overseas investment in UK property, as well as the effect of ESG requirements on property businesses.
Myfanwy’s advice includes structuring property deals so they are tax-efficient and explaining the financing in a way that works for each individual client. Myfanwy won the Women in Finance Accountancy Leader of the Year award in 2017.
Simon Eaton is a partner supporting a range of startups and high-growth companies and offering trusted guidance when they are making major decisions. Construction is one of Simon’s specialist sectors. His visit to MIPIM this year will be his first.
Jason Samuels is another BKL partner who gives practical, commercial advice to growing businesses. His specialist experience across a range of business areas includes property developers, traders and investors. MIPIM 2023 will be Jason’s first since joining BKL last year.
Simon Levine is our senior VAT consultant. He has a wealth of experience in all areas of VAT, especially relating to residential property. Simon also lectures to property companies and accountants on the VAT aspects of construction, with particular emphasis on residential VAT issues.
