The most rewarding aspect of my role is building a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and what drives their owners. When you care about a client’s ambitions as much as they do, you can provide advice that goes beyond the numbers at every stage of their journey. I also enjoy drawing on my engineering background to approach challenges from a different perspective and deliver a successful outcome using alternative solutions.
William is a Director in our Corporate Finance team with extensive experience leading M&A transactions and strategic advisory process for business owners, private equity, and senior management teams. His experience spans the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada where he led Deloitte’s Western Industrial and Business Services team.
An engineer by background, William has particularly extensive experience advising industrial sector businesses, including those operating in the automotive, aerospace and defence, components, construction, manufacturing and distribution markets. However his track record is equally strong in technology, business services and healthcare transactions.
Having started his career in private equity, William brings an investor’s perspective to deals, helping clients understand both the strategic and commercial drivers. He held roles at Oaklins and Deloitte prior to joining the BKL team.
William’s is known for his hands-on approach and ability to build trusted relationships, working closely with clients and specialist advisers on sell-side, buy-side, capital & debt advisory, and distressed company situations, among others.
Outside of work William enjoys surfing and snowboarding, and has a keen interest in carpentry.
