‘According to statistics from the National Association of Estate Agents, 19% of homes sold for more than the asking price in May, compared to 7% last September.
The NAEA figures also show that 46% of properties sold for less than the asking price during the month, marking the lowest figure recorded since September when 71% of sellers were accepting offers below the asking price.
The average number of properties available in estate agency branches across Britain shrank back from 45 in April to 44 in May. This time last year, NAEA members were reporting 60 properties available per branch.’
