BKL joined DFK UK & Ireland, a national group within DFK International: a global alliance of more than 200 accounting, audit, advisory and tax businesses in 90 countries.

Helping you stay vigilant against scammers
In several recent cases, scammers have written to businesses in the guise of Companies House, claiming that the business needs to make a payment for Enhanced Web Filing Access. Companies House have confirmed that these letters are not genuine.
You can see an example of the letter here. If you receive correspondence from Companies House or HMRC instructing you to take action, please let us know immediately so that we can advise whether it’s genuine.

We enjoyed meeting people at The Schools & Academies Show– marking a year since Landau Baker’s education sector experts became part of BKL.
At the Digital Accountancy Show, Myfanwy teamed up with fellow B Corp accounting firms to share insights into our journeys to becoming B Corp certified.

35 Under 35:
Two of our brilliant senior managers, Alisha O’Donovan and James Dillard, were featured in this year’s Accountancy Age 35 under 35 list.
This builds on the recognition they earned earlier in 2024: Alisha as Bronze winner of the Citywealth Powerwomen award in the ‘Woman of the year: Fintech/Crypto’ category; James as DFK International’s EMEA Emerging Leader of the Year.
Coming together:
In May we came together for our biggest ever summer party. With over 300 people in attendance, it was a great evening with lots to celebrate.
