For fintech and financial services (FS) in particular, Yelena is able to apply her wide-ranging compliance and advisory expertise. Her specialist experience includes:

- Cryptoassets owned through the business – including tax and commercial guidance
- UK subsidiaries of international funds – including those based in the US and the Middle East
- Owner-managed businesses providing services to funds
- e-commerce businesses – streamlining operations through Xero and integrated apps; setting up for VAT compliance in UK, Europe and the rest of the world
As the leader of our business services team’s dedicated FS pod, Yelena ensures that clients have dependable, all-round accounts and outsourcing support, as well as full access to our technical expertise in relevant areas such as international VAT and audit.
International clients benefit from Yelena’s global experience, which she gained working in the USA, Canada and Russia. She joined BKL in 2015.
As well as building relationships with clients, Yelena enjoys contributing to trainee development within BKL. She encourages colleagues to support our clients, and each other, sensibly and proactively.
