The Latest in Tax: Fees, VAT & The Budget
In her statement on 29 July, UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced a series of economic reforms:
Non-UK domiciled individuals: further clarity on the changes to the non-dom tax regime from 6 April 2025. Read our article for more details
Private school fees: confirming the removal of VAT exemption for private school fees from 1 January 2025. Any fees paid from 29 July 2024 pertaining to the term starting in January 2025 onwards will be subject to VAT. Read our article for more details
Autumn Budget 2024: this will be presented on Wednesday 30 October. We’ll provide a comprehensive update about all the changes post-Budget.
